Fiona is a highly accomplished and qualified Chartered Accountant (CA ANZ) with over 20 years of experience in the finance and accounting industry.  Fiona’s finance journey began at Pitcher Partners Melbourne in Private Clients, followed by 13 years in the retail finance in Geelong and the Surf Coast.

Her talents extended beyond corporate finance, as she also established and managed a private family office, which handled businesses, investments, and other various assets of a high net wealth family.With Fiona’s wealth of experience, and genuine passion for finance and accounting, Fiona plays a pivotal role in driving our financial success and continued growth. Joe is a key member of the leadership team and has over 10 years’ experience within the environmental, occupational hygiene and construction industries. Given Joe’s organic growth within Scaada, he brings knowledge to all layers of the business that are unsurpassed.  

Joe provides a diverse skill-set spanning project management, change management, leadership, environmental remediation strategies and implementation, environmental monitoring, data management, and laboratory work.  His ability to connect outcome to commerciality makes him something of an industry unicorn.

Joe currently oversees business as usual and daily operations of the business and ensures that Scaada is on delivers on it’s key values and strategic goals over the short, medium and long-term.  A pragmatic and dynamic member of the team, Joe is a natural ‘people’s person’ and strives to get the best out of our team of amazing individuals.

Having started her journey at Scaada as an Occupational Hygiene Technician, Alahria has steadily progressed through the ranks, ultimately assuming her current management position. Her exceptional communication skills, both with clients and fellow colleagues, have played a pivotal role in her professional growth. Alahria holds her Certificate IV in Marketing and Communication. 

Furthermore, Alahria’s extensive background in managing and coaching individuals of all ages in sports and fitness has honed her leadership qualities, which she effectively imparts to her peers. Patrick Crawford

Patrick currently leads Vertex Analytics under Scaada Environmental and brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this role, with over a decade of work in environmental laboratories across Australia and New Zealand. His diverse skill set includes analysing soils, water, asbestos, and fungal structures, making him a valuable asset to our team.Notably, Patrick has successfully managed the construction and operations of three separate laboratories, overseeing teams of up to 20 scientific personnel.

His exceptional leadership abilities have been honed through these experiences, ensuring optimal functioning of all facilities to the ISO/IEC 17025 standard.As a trained and certified Analyst/Report Signatory, Patrick possesses expertise in examining asbestos and mycological samples. He has a proven track record in developing quality systems, providing training, ensuring health and safety compliance, and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders such as IANZ and NATA.Patrick’s dedication to continuous growth is evident in his acquisition of proficiency in mycological identification, particularly specializing in indoor air quality fungal spore identification.

This expertise was obtained through training with the renowned McCrone Research Institute of Chicago.Furthermore, Patrick’s extensive experience in Occupational Hygiene has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of Victorian and New Zealand environmental regulations, further enhancing his capabilities.Beyond his professional accomplishments, Patrick’s life experience includes serving as a former botanical ecologist for the Department of Conservation (DOC) in New Zealand.  This role involved conducting ecological surveys to identify species habitation, showcasing his well-rounded background, and appreciation of the natural environment.Patrick’s strengths lie in his leadership abilities, which have been developed through managing scientific teams and establishing operational laboratories.

Additionally, his meticulous attention to detail is a key attribute that ensures accuracy in his work, from environmental sample analysis to compliance with health and safety regulations. Moreover, Patrick’s adaptability shines through his ability to thrive in dynamic environments, readily adapting to new methodologies, technologies, and regulations. His proficiency in coding languages, particularly Python, Visual Basic and databasing (SQL) further enhances his productivity and precision in his work.
