NSW Flood Recovery Project
Project Scope
Scaada Environmental and Sustainability were engaged to assist in the evaluation of risks, damage and rehabilitation post major floods across northern New South Wales in March 2022.
Project Outcome
Scaada teams had a major impact in the emergency response and recovery throughout the NSW Northern Rivers assessing building damage and risks across the area. Scaada oversaw the building assessments identifying asbestos and mould where relevant to assist in the safe remediation of buildings, as well as assisting the state Govt in developing an overall budget for total cost allocation relevant to the emergency response. During remedial works our teams played a critical monitoring role to ensure safe workplaces and practices were maintained despite urgency for rehabilitation to take place at a quicker rate than normal.
