Project Scope
Initially, SCAADA was engaged to deal with a contaminated soil stockpile on site, the location and size (approx. 15,000 m3) and current waste classification of the soil was resulting in debilitating project delays. SCAADA continues to provide Boral with a range of environmental consulting services for their North Shore plant, in line with Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) guidelines, as well as delivering engineering and construction of environmental controls for groundwater, soil and environmental dust. Project Outcome
SCAADA identified an opportunity based on the limited samples provided by a previous environmental consultant. Opting for further testing SCAADA then designed an improved sampling regime which resulted in a re-classification of the soil, allowing for soil management strategies to be implemented - which saved the client approximately 1.5 million in project costs. SCAADA's ongoing fully managed environment consulting services ensures that Boral continues to meet regulations and operate at optimal environmental conditions. SCAADA now provides Boral with numerous environmental services across Victoria.
