Rodney has worked literally from the ground up with experience in every level of business imaginable. Having started his early years of employment in an apprenticeship, moving through to being a high-level manager internationally for a multi-national organisation, and more recently fulfilling a role as Chairperson of the Board for a growing organisation, Rodney has literally done it all!
Rodney brings both personal and business maturity to SCAADA and leads an effervescent group of project managers in his role. Having lived and worked globally, he is able to instil guidance to our organisation that he has seen and experienced firsthand and provides leadership through challenging projects with a calmness that is rare in today’s “cut and thrust” working world. Rodney’s management experience in sectors including Aviation, Logistics and Manufacturing have afforded him the opportunity to develop unparalleled skills that transfer smoothly in to his role in our growing organisation.

Jacob is the SCAADA Operations Manager – Environmental, with just on 10 years’ experience in the civil construction, environmental and waste management industry from resourcing, sales, account management and business development, having a strong passion for sales and business he is committed to building strong and lasting relationships within the industry.
In his role Jacob works with our current, future, and internal clients to listen and create solutions that keep their projects moving accordingly and to meet environmental requirements within the EPA’s rules and regulations. With a great interest in landfill, remediation, and contaminated waste management, he has worked on a variety of brownfield, greenfield and landfill sites with different types of technologies.

Simon’s journey began in the UK, where he worked as a Consultant for Lucion Environmental and later as an Asbestos Manager for Stockton Borough Council. He then joined Noel Arnold and Associates – Greencap, where he served as a Senior Consultant from 2008 to 2015. Simon’s passion and dedication led him to IRISC, where he took on the role of Team Leader from 2015 to 2018. Subsequently, he returned to Greencap in 2018 as a Principal Consultant before moving to Tetra Tech Coffey in 2020, where he excelled as a WHS Associate until the present day.
Simon’s qualifications are a testament to his commitment to his field. He holds a prestigious Licensed Asbestos Assessor certification (NSW) LAA001113 and is well-versed in P402 BOHS Building Surveys and bulk sampling for Asbestos. Additionally, he is a NATA Signatory for Fibre identification and counting of Asbestos, demonstrating his expertise in this specialized area. Simon’s qualifications also extend to Supervisory management of Asbestos, showcasing his leadership skills.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Simon has a rich life experience. He is a proud father of one and hails from the North East of England, County Durham, known as the Land of the Prince Bishops. He is the President of the Masters Summer League (Soccer) for over 35’s in Geelong, using the platform to raise awareness for Mental Health in older men. He spent time as a Tomato Harvester from November 2018 to March 2019, gaining firsthand experience in the agricultural sector. Following that, from November 2017 to January 2019, he worked with GrainCorp Ltd, further expanding his knowledge in the industry.
Dion’s love for wildlife and conservation led him to volunteer at the Kyabram Fauna Park in March 2021, where he contributed his time and skills to protect and care for animals. His passion for environmental causes extended globally when he became an International Wildlife Volunteer in Costa Rica from January 2020 to February 2020, where he actively participated in wildlife conservation efforts abroad.

Additionally, she excels in water sampling and assessment, particularly in surface water management and monitoring of water quality at Deanside. Meg is well-versed in conducting Australian Drinking Water Guideline sampling, analysis, and assessment.
Furthermore, her involvement in environmental monitoring and management plans, such as the OEMP (Onsite Environmental Management Plan) and CEMP (Construction Environmental Management Plan) at Doone Landfill, showcases her commitment to keeping a project running environmentally friendly and management correctly.
Meg is also a qualified asbestos fibre counter, demonstrating her proficiency in conducting asbestos sampling, air monitoring, and clearances – a crucial skill for ensuring safety and compliance in various environmental settings.

Introducing Slaed, our talented Environmental Consultant at SCAADA, who joined our team in April 2023. With a wealth of experience and expertise, Slaed is a key player in our mission to promote environmental sustainability and safety.
Before joining SCAADA, Slaed held the position of a HAZMAT Consultant from December 2019 to April 2023. During this time, he showcased his proficiency conducting Division 5 and Division 6 Audits and assessing and identifying various hazardous materials including asbestos, SMF (Synthetic Mineral Fibers), PCBs (Polychlorinated Biphenyls), CFCs (Chlorofluorocarbons), and Lead based products, conducting air monitoring for both occupational and para-occupational settings, performing visual clearances, and providing site-specific advice to ensure compliance and safety.
As a testament to his dedication to quality and professionalism, Slaed has been a NATA (National Association of Testing Authorities) Approved Counter since mid-2020. This accomplishment further enhances his credibility and expertise in the field.
Slaed’s capabilities are not limited to hazardous materials; he is versed in creating noise maps and conducting various soil assessments, including Preliminary Site Investigations), Environmental Site Assessments and Waste Categorisations. Ben completed his Bachelor of Biomedical Science in October 2022, demonstrating his passion for the field and his commitment to continuous learning. Since joining SCAADA Environmental, he has been a key asset, primarily serving as a building assessor and hygienist for the ERV 2022 Victorian Flood Recovery project. Beyond that, Ben has lent his expertise to various other projects, including the Regional Rail Revival project, all while managing day-to-day occupational hygiene tasks with precision.

Rory’s expertise extends to various disaster recovery efforts, including the 2022 South Eastern Australia Floods. During these challenging times, Rory played a vital role in conducting asbestos works at the Mt Scobie Resource Recovery Centre in Kyabram and The Skye Caravan Park in Murchison East in collaboration with Sycle. Additionally, he collaborated with Johns Lyng Group to conduct building assessments and asbestos works, ensuring the safety and well-being of affected communities.
In the realm of dust management, Rory has collaborated with industry leaders such as Boral and Sycle, showcasing his proficiency in sampling, monitoring, and assessing dust levels. His meticulous approach ensures that potential hazards are identified and mitigated effectively.
As an expert in asbestos works, Rory has demonstrated his skills across Victoria, encompassing asbestos identification, air monitoring, and issuing clearances. His expertise extends to working with Symal, where he was involved in the Department of Environment Depot construction in Mt Rowan, successfully ensuring compliance and safety.
